When it comes to farming, we think of our helicopters as flying tractors that do all the jobs your ground equipment can't. And just like your trusty tractor has its various attachments, so do our helicopters. You have a plough, drill, bailer and trailer. We have buckets, spray gear, long-lines and lifting strops.
Helicopter Spraying
Our team has a thorough knowledge of agrichemical application. This includes spraying to control weeds and noxious plants, killing pests, and applying fungicides to hold out rot and toxic spores that can damage your crops and stock.
At PHL, we have several spraying techniques to make sure only what needs spraying is sprayed.
Spot spraying and low-drift nozzles minimize any off-target drift making sure residue and off-spray doesn't contaminate crops and get where it shouldn't. This prevents damage to other plant-life, people, animals, the surrounding environment and property.
Fertiliser Application
Fertiliser is the lifeblood of the land, and timing is everything. You need to get that fertiliser on when soil temperatures are adequate and when you the need feed. Using a helicopter ensures the fertiliser is applied on time regardless of the weather and field conditions.
Our distribution pattern is very even and we have good control on applying your valuable product onto productive areas only. Our loading systems and application equipment are fast and effective using GPS technology for perfect placement and accountability.
Animal Rescue - Mustering
Horse stuck in the mud, cow on a ledge... We can assists. Cattle or deer a little feral, book our helicopter its worth a 1000 working dogs.
Firelighting (Burn-Offs)
For land intended for cropping, once herbicide has been applied we often recommend firelighting a controlled burn-off of the remaining dry matter before seeding and fertiliser.
To achieve high standards our gear is calibrated regularly and we use GPS technology to ensure accurate even distribution and proof of placement.
The timing of the application of agrichemicals is important. Using helicopters we can utilize small weather windows to get the job done fast and efficiently, regardless of field conditions.
